Many religious individuals, believing they were right, have been horribly wrong in their approach and communication of sharing who Jesus really is. As a result, most people (in fact over 85% of our community) want nothing to do with church or God - which is understandable! This Sunday we are going to shed light on those things that have actually hurt (not helped) people. Not only are we looking into what has been out of line with the love that Jesus is really about...we are going to apologize, REALLY! Join us for Easter Sunday - Breaking Free, the real Easter Story. The Family Church is a safe place. You will be among real people, people who don't know it all or have it all figured out. We are a diverse people with different backgrounds through economics, politics, and even religion; but we are similar in the fact that we have been prisoners of our past, enslaved in destructive habits. God came to set us free. He has broken the chains and set the captives free. That's what Easter is all about. Breaking Free.
Easter is a special day - it's the day we celebrate the freedom that is found through the love of God and the gift of His Son, Jesus. We have been set free from the prison of our life. Easter is not about a religious holiday or the Easter bunny. Easter is about freedom, fulfillment, and forgiveness.
